Special Strictly Rhythm 30`s

Refletimos sobre o papel fundamental desempenhado pelo Strictly Rhythm que sem dúvida uma das marcas de casa mais importantes da história. A gravadora lançou inúmeras peças de música ao longo de sua existência: Roger Sanchez, MAW, Erick Morillo, George Morel, Todd Terry, Sandy Rivera, DJ Pierre, Frankie Feliciano, Armand Van Helden, Mark Kinchen, David Morales, Rasoul, DJ Sneak, Ian Pooley, Josh Wink, Cevin Fisher, Roy Davis, a lista continua.

A gravadora foi fundada em 1989 por Mark Finkelstein e Gladys Pizarro, em 2007 retornou após investimento da Warner Music, após uma pausa de cinco anos.

Três anos depois, em novembro de 2010, a gravadora abriu um escritório em Londres.Em janeiro de 2013, a BMG Rights Management concordou em adquirir o histórico catálogo de gravações Strictly Rhythm e os direitos de publicação por um valor não revelado. Em outubro de 2015, a BMG comprou o catálogo de publicação Strictly Rhythm para operar como uma gravadora independente lançando novas gravações.

Em resumo, Gladys Pizarro moldou o som da gravadora, sua intuição musical criaram uma série de sucessos globais, como: Reel 2 Real’s ‘I Like To Move It’, Planet Soul’s ‘Set You Free’, Logic’s ‘The Warning’, and Wink’s ‘Higher State Of Consciousness’. Para o público em geral, Strictly Rhythm é provavelmente mais conhecido por seus clássicos, como os abaixo:

O segredo dos sucessos lançados pela Strictly Rhythm foram extraídos da diversificada cultura musical de Nova York. Os produtores misturaram grooves latinos, sons de reggae, vocais gospel, texturas atmosféricas e até toques de psicodelia. Hoje em dia o foco da gravadora tem sido, na maioria das vezes, reeditar os mesmos 'hits', no entanto, é importante citar que há mais lançamentos de antigamente que continuam ressurgindo e quem base suas edições em discos de vinil para os amantes e colecionadores e com uma infinidade cada vez maior de talentos respeitados e novos, a Strictly Rhythm Music Group está pronto para se tornar ainda maior no movimento global de House.

Para comemorar sua orgulhosa herança, Strictly Rhythm lançou ' The Definitive 30' – 30 faixas clássicas. Há também uma série de vinil divididdos em 3 partes 2 x 12” – incluindo faixas de Todd Terry e Kenny Dope.
